Minneapolis Next to Blow: CHEVYBOY

ChevyBoy is an artist with many sides to his musical talents.  First and foremost, he is a rapper, singer and songwriter.  Coming out of North Minneapolis, Chevy’s first breakout “ghetto anthem” was “Get Money,” followed by the open mic killer “Noah’s Arc.” He then released “Leavin’ Me” a song that showed he not only could write edgy urban rap hits, but he could also reach deep into emotions with a song about lost love that resonated with female audiences.  Chevy’s fan base has steadily grown with his distinctive sound that mixes rap, R&B and pop in a lyrical mix that is both zany and edgy, searing and heartfelt.

Chevy Boy is one of the Twin Cities top talents who in 2012 garnered two major awards: “Best Male Artist” from the Twin Cities Urban Music Awards and “Best Artist on the Come Up” from the TC Hip Hop Awards.  Most recently, Chevy Boy made his MTV Jams debut with “Feel Your Touch”, a collaborative project with fellow Twin City artists Dookie and Auburn.  It features Chevy Boy singing the unforgettable hook.  This is another breakout year for ChevyBoy who is also a talented videographer/photographer as well as music producer.  In other words, ChevyBoy is a 360 degree artist whose time has come to breakout on the national stage.
